The project focused on research and development in marine biotechnology.

Ways were developed to utilize marine biotechnology in the production of medicines, cosmetics, the production of target foods and chemical production, and for use in aquaculture.

The bioactivity of substances from seafood was studied and defined and utilization possibilities explored.
