Dr. Hrönn Jörundsdóttir, Ph.D. in chemistry and project manager at Matís, Icelandic Food and Biotech R&D, has been nominated by the Executive Board of The European Association for Food Safety, SAFE Consortium to be the Administrative Secretary.
Dr. Jörundsdóttir received her Ph.D. from the University of Stockholm and she is an expert in environmental chemistry, food safety and risk assessment. She has managed several national and international research projects in this field.
Dr. Jörundsdóttir will assist in the management of the consortium, including publications, partner relations and presentation of the SAFE consortium to stakeholders. She has wide experience in issues related to food safety, environmental quality, press relation and presentations and will be a strong addition to the SAFE consortium management team.
